what's this all about? isn't kickball for kids?
SI Kickball is about having a good time. Kickball is the fastest growing social sport for young adults. Our league is for adults 18+, like many other leagues in the country.
can i drink alcohol at games?
Yes (as long as you are 21+). Our legal team suggested we not use the term "drinking sport", but frankly, most players do enjoy a beverage or 2.
i'm looking for a team to join. what should i do?
Register using the link at the top of the page. Registration is done individually, so if you don't have a whole team together, just leave the team name blank when you register and we'll find a spot for you.
i think i have enough people to form a team. what should we do?
Register using the link at the top of the page. Teams need to have at least 12 players (including at least 3 girls playing at all times). Decide on a team name with your friends and during registration enter the team name you agreed upon. We'll place you on a team together.
when and where are games played?
Games take place on Sunday afternoons between 12pm - 4pm at Attucks Park in Carbondale- check out the contact page for a map of the field location. Teams play 2 back-to-back 1-hour games each Sunday. Check out the Schedule page for more details.
what am i supposed to wear?
We provide custom team t-shirts for players- wear that and some sort of shorts/pants/loin cloth (up to you). Taller socks help protect your shins from bruising (seriously), and cleats are highly recommended, it can get slippery out there at times. If your team is feeling daring, go for a team theme- jean shorts anyone?
where can i buy a kickball similar to what is used in the league?
SIK provides balls during games, and gives each team captain a new ball per season for team practice (if you choose to practice). If you want to purchase an extra ball to sharpen your mad skills and impress your teamates, you can purchase one for $10 during games, or contact us via email and we'll get one to you.
